AI-text detector Pangram is powerful but badly calibrated, dev argues
maksym_andr · x · 2026-09-15
A developer argues Pangram has superhuman ability to detect AI-generated or edited text, but its lack of calibration and misleading UI cause unnecessary polarization: it nearly always says "100% AI" or "100% human" per segment and reveals nothing about how much human work went into the content. He suggests finer-grained scores would help, and meanwhile avoids AI for writing altogether.
