Ex-Boston Dynamics CSO Launches Robotic Characters; Maven Emerges With $100M

Ex-Boston Dynamics CSO Marc Theermann and ex-RAI veteran Farbod Farshidian launched DynamiCreatures, building robotic characters for theme parks, casinos, and cruise ships via the SnowJay platform, with first deployments targeted early 2027; Boston Dynamics founder Marc Raibert is an investor.
Separately, Maven Robotics emerged from stealth with $100M to build mixed-palletizing robots: 8 robots running 16 hours/day at 99%+ uptime, wheeled bases at 10 mph, dual arms lifting 30 kg. In 2024 they had only 'a cartoon of a robot' yet won against 4 rivals by visiting customer factories first. Palletizing alone is an $80B market.
