The author lays out a suspicious timeline: Jacob Coxon created a dormant X account in January, got a blue check in August, and posted doomsday tweets in early September that racked up hundreds of millions of views; WSJ published its "Anthropic Researcher Quits Over 'Out-of-Control' AI Fears" story just 8 minutes before Coxon's post; within 24 hours Coxon appeared on NBC, CBS, CNN and more, and multiple Anthropic researchers posted near-identical "we are scared" tweets.
