OpenAI and GSA strike new OneGov deal: ChatGPT for all federal employees through 2028

OpenAI has struck a new OneGov deal with the General Services Administration, taking effect after the current $1-per-agency deal expires at month's end:
- ChatGPT models will be available to all federal government employees under discounted, consumption-based pricing, with agencies getting half-off token usage across models.
- The agreement runs through Dec. 31, 2028.
- GSA Administrator Ed Forst said it enhances federal performance and reduces administrative burden; Sam Altman said OpenAI is "honored to continue collaborating" with GSA.
