Inductive launches Indy, a medchem AI agent twice as accurate as Claude and GPT at QC

Inductive Bio launched Indy, an AI medicinal chemistry assistant built into its Compass drug discovery platform. Originally developed for internal use, it now handles routine program work—assay data QC, synthesis queue monitoring, FEP runs, human dose projection, and meeting-ready SAR slides—with the team's productivity doubled and beta users approaching 20 hours of weekly usage.
Key benchmarks:
- On 84 dose-response curves from real programs, Indy QC'd 89% correctly versus 39–48% for GPT-5.6 Sol and Claude Opus 5—roughly 2x the accuracy of frontier agents.
- On routine medchem moves like nitrogen walks, Indy returned 57 of 59 valid products when asked for 71 bicyclic core alternatives; GPT returned 36, Claude fewer.
