SeedVR2 takes 12+ hours to upscale a 2-minute clip on an RTX 5080 — is this normal?
Afraid-Woodpecker664 · reddit · 2026-09-14
A user found Handbrake and Real Video Enhancer render a 2-minute clip in 10 minutes (but with poor quality), then switched to SeedVR2 (3B FP8, 4K upscale) — which has now run nearly 13 hours on an RTX 5080 + 9950X3D, GPU pinned at 93-100% with 12GB VRAM. They're asking whether this runtime is expected.
