Tahuna goes open source: GPU orchestration for training, inference, autonomous experiments

Monaim101 · reddit · 2026-09-14

Tahuna is now open source (AGPL-3.0), letting small teams train models, run inference, orchestrate GPUs, and run autonomous research experiments without becoming a small cloud provider. Built on the primitive init → sync → computeSession → train/serve/hillclimb, it features content-addressed code/data sync, compute provisioning, reproducible manifest-pinned runs, metrics, checkpoints, artifacts, and inference deployment. The team also introduced Hillclimb, an autonomous experimentation loop that proposes and runs iterative improvements. First preview supports RunPod and R2, with Docker self-hosting, a coding-agent setup skill, and SFT/RL agentic search/MNIST examples.
