Formas Unveils CARTESIAN: Turn Photos and Sketches Into Editable, Precise 3D Models

carlosbannon · x · 2026-09-14

Formas launched CARTESIAN, an "anything to 3D" tool that turns photos, sketches, scans, plans or plain language into precise, editable 3D models. Key features: per-object editability (change a chair, keep the room), inspectable faces/edges/solids with real geometry, clean topology instead of polygon meshes, and BIM-ready named elements. Models export as 3DM/STL into SketchUp, Rhino or any CAD, spanning product design, furniture, interiors, architecture and urban design. Preview waitlist is open.
