Investor Vinod Khosla explained why he dislikes the "AI co-pilot" framing:
- He argues "humans get in the way of co-pilots" — keeping humans in the loop slows everything down and blocks real change
- Workers like accountants and programmers don't actually want co-pilots, because they fear for their jobs and resist using the tools properly
- He prefers building AI that fully does the job itself, like a complete software engineer
- He expects that by 2030 most of these roles will be pure AI workers, not human+co-pilot
