Critics say Anthropic's transparency plan is dramatically narrower than Dario's commitments

Bronson Schoen argues Anthropic's newly announced transparency arrangements are "dramatically reduced in scope" compared to what Dario Amodei committed to, noting that double-blind evaluations in particular seem orthogonal to many of the covered cases.
OpenAI's iamtrask pushed back optimistically, teasing that "structured transparency infrastructure" can actually verify these commitments and promising incoming examples — while conceding the double-blind pilot didn't cover the scenarios Schoen raised.
The exchange captures a live debate over whether lab-level evaluation and transparency mechanisms match the public commitments AI leaders originally made.
