DavidRBellamy, who claims to be among the very few to have both trained a frontier LLM and designed/synthesized custom viruses in a lab, calls "AI will kill us all with engineered viruses" total bogus. Tim Dettmers amplified: experts repeatedly note biotisk risk is fake — AI is good at designing dangerous pathogens, but physically manufacturing them is the hard part AI can't do and is easy to safeguard against.
