Apple patented a foldable device back in 2015 — with new CEO Ternus as an inventor

A blogger dug up a detail behind the iPhone Duo: Apple was granted a 2015 patent titled "Flexible electronic devices" describing a device with a screen that folds in half to fit in a pocket, using sensors to detect whether it's open or closed.

Notably, one of the listed inventors is John P. Ternus — now Apple's new CEO, who unveiled the iPhone Duo on stage for the first time.
