Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella laid out his position on pursuing superintelligence: it must benefit humanity and stay under human control to be worth pursuing. He argues AI benefits should spread broadly via an ecosystem where closed and open-source models coexist; enterprises should keep control of their tacit knowledge by building continuous learning loops on models and weights they own, avoiding dependence on any single provider. On alignment, he welcomes deliberate pacing and ideas like "embedded evaluators," insisting governance can't be controlled by a few entities and must include academia and global representation. He also announced Microsoft will publish a "Code of Conduct" for its first-party MAI models for public consultation the next day.
