Dev builds dream game with AI: mocap from self-recorded video fixed Blender animations
majidmanzarpour · x · 2026-09-14
Indie developer Stefan shares day 11 of building the game he's dreamed of for 15 years with AI. Humanoid animation was the hardest part — GPT-6 Astra couldn't nail an attack animation in Blender on its own. His fixes: recording himself doing the arm swing, converting it to mocap, and having Codex fix only the arm; converting generated Seedance video references to mocap (which worked surprisingly well); and applying his own animation knowledge.
