Former LM researcher Yacine floated an amusing notion of superintelligence: an LLM that is extremely good at writing ultra-fast simulators and training RNNs to solve problems — essentially letting the model build its own environments rather than relying on expensive human-made simulations. He followed up joking that he himself qualifies as a kind of superintelligence under that definition.
