US leaves optical transceivers off blacklist, easing pressure on Chinese supply chain

Per SCMP, the US ultimately left optical transceivers off its blacklist, bringing relief to China's optical module supply chain. InnoLight chairman Liu Sheng said at a Goldman Sachs event that while telecom transceiver generations evolve every 3-5 years, data center cycles now churn in under two years. Commenters saw the exemption as "cooler heads prevailing, for now."
