The quoted retrospective: e/acc began as a half-serious meme in early 2022, launched by four pseudonymous posters (@beffjezos, @bayeslord, @zestular, @creatinecycle) urging humanity to "step on the gas of progress." It crystallized after @beffjezos was revealed in late 2023 as quantum-AI entrepreneur Guillaume Verdon.
