tszzl: I love open models, but offense dominates defense as they approach superintelligence
tszzl · x · 2026-09-13
tszzl clarifies his stance: he loves open models and is running a Kimi K3 finetune on Tinker. But he predicts bad things may happen with free distribution of open source models approaching superintelligence — offense dominates defense — and if that happens, China and the US will both try to control them.
He stresses this is a prediction, not his preferred outcome, and has nothing to do with "pacing the frontier."
