Anthropic's policy details exactly when your Claude chats are used for model training
austinc3301 · x · 2026-09-13
Anthropic's Privacy Center clarifies that chats and coding sessions from consumer products (Claude Free/Pro/Max, Claude Code) are only used for model training if you opt in, if conversations are flagged for safety review, or if you explicitly join programs like the Trusted Tester Program. Raw connector content (Google Drive, remote/local MCP servers) is excluded unless copied into the chat. Incognito chats are never used for training. Feedback via thumbs up/down stores the full conversation for up to 5 years, de-linked from your user ID. Commercial products follow a separate policy.
