'In Weeks to Months': Building Apps Will Be Like Driving a Car, Professor Argues
deepakns · x · 2026-09-13
Part 4/n of deepakns' thread (quoting 3/n). He predicts that within weeks to months computers will be 'at the level of cars'—anyone without formal training in computer systems or programming will be able to build applications in their domain of interest, just as cars let people travel without mechanical knowledge. The quoted 3/n adds that top raw talent no longer needs to waste time on syntax, frameworks and code execution; natural language plus clear specifications can generate the code, freeing time for thinking, evaluating and judging.
