Kyrannio called out AI labs' "safety doublespeak": if labs are suddenly serious about AI safety and about embedding independent evaluators inside their labs, they should defund themselves — "walk the walk or stop the doublespeak and fear mongering."
In a follow-up reply he added that otherwise labs are setting their investors up for failure down the line. The thread targets the contradiction between labs warning about AI risks while continuing to raise capital.
