Meta Launches Muse Agent That Can Message, Plan, and Check Out For You
jeff_weinstein · x · 2026-09-13
Meta launched Muse, a personal AI agent inside WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook that can message friends, plan outings, and shop autonomously — including navigating checkout and paying on the user's behalf, pending approval. Free for US adults first, with smart glasses integration planned. FB/IG DMs are accessible with permission; end-to-end-encrypted WhatsApp limits Muse to explicitly shared info. It goes further than OpenAI's Instant Checkout and Google's Universal Cart.
