Open-source reimagine-it MCP server turns pasted HTML into full redesigns
Thelastreddditor · reddit · 2026-09-13
The author open-sourced reimagine-it, a content-derived design engine (HTML in, standalone HTML out) shipped as an MCP server, letting host agents redesign pages without hand-authoring HTML. Tools cover single-direction generation, auto-select+verify, ranked variations with a contrast sheet, style locking to reusable JSON, and 19 deterministic no-LLM audit rules. v2.15.0 pins every tool's response shape with golden fixtures so host-visible changes fail CI; generation is local and deterministic, and the engine refuses to clobber files. MIT licensed, with copy-paste configs for Claude Desktop, Cursor, VS Code, Claude Code, Windsurf and Gemini CLI.
