Personal AI agents still can't talk to each other: interoperability remains the missing layer

The author argues that while personal AI agents are becoming useful for research, scheduling, browsing, coding, and note management, interoperability is the major gap: your agent knows your preferences and tools but cannot coordinate with another person's agent or a business agent—every interaction still requires an app UI, manual approval, or custom integration. Getting beyond isolated assistants requires agent discovery, capability advertisement, peer authentication, permission negotiation, structured request exchange, intent preservation through delegation, and audit logs. Does anything accomplish this reliably today?
