Alex Tabarrok, head of the Center for Study of Public Choice (retweeted by TheZvi), rejects the claim that Anthropic's support for an AI pause amounts to regulatory capture: capture is what you attempt when you're losing, and with Anthropic headed for the biggest IPO in history, winners don't lobby for regulation.
