Sakana AI's Fugu Ultra v2 multi-agent orchestration engine lands on OpenRouter
SakanaAILabs · x · 2026-09-12
Sakana AI's flagship orchestration system Fugu Ultra v2 is now live on OpenRouter.
Rather than a single model, Fugu is a learned multi-agent orchestration system: a language model trained to route tasks across a fixed pool of open and specialized models, recursively calling instances of itself — with no reliance on any single proprietary frontier model.
- Priced at $5/$30 per 1M input/output tokens with 1M context; prompts above 272K tokens bill at a higher rate, and orchestration tokens are billed as standard input/output
- Supports configurable reasoning effort (high/xhigh/max), function calling, structured outputs, image and PDF input, and built-in web search
- Aimed at complex multi-step reasoning, autonomous research, and full-stack software development
