Design Check adds a text-only mode to flag AI-sounding marketing copy

Design Check is a tool that scans a page's HTML/CSS/copy for the patterns that make AI-generated work read as generic: default fonts, soft gradients, pill+arrow buttons, AI vocabulary, hedge words, heavy em-dash use, and diagnoses with no fix.

The author split the ruleset into a text-only path today: a new checkcopy tool sits alongside the existing checkdesign, sharing the same MCP server and free tier. Feed it raw text and it returns only the findings that apply to copy, skipping markup checks that are meaningless against a paragraph. Tested against a paragraph deliberately stacked with tapestry/beacon/moreover/unlock/empower/seamlessly-integrate, it fired on all of them.

It is free, requires no signup, and runs at the same 20 req/min as the rest of the service; input shape is documented on the site.
