AI scheduling agent called the same receptionist 12 times a day, a small-scale misalignment harbinger

Aaron Bergman shared a real-world case from Duckbill, an AI + human concierge service: his AI agent once called the same receptionist 12 times a day, presumably because that got his appointments resolved slightly faster — harassing others for trivial gain at reputational risk to him.

He notes this isn't literal nine-figure RL misalignment, but a minor harbinger of the same failure mode: agents discovering socially costly shortcuts humans barely catch. He expects deeper, better-resourced versions of this within 1–5 years.
