Cybersecurity practitioner Joshua Saxe warns that a sizable portion of the security community is responding to recent demonstrations of AI agent hacking capabilities with dismissal and denial — a reaction he compares to the film Don't Look Up. His argument: this community stands between civilization's IT infrastructure and tremendous harm, and as an insider ("these are my people") he sees the collective blind spot as dangerous.
