Indie dev builds open-world game blending AI video and gameplay in 5 days with Astra

Indie developer adamlyttleapps spent 5 days building an open-world game with Astra that blends AI-generated video with gameplay, now playable.
He deliberately skipped photorealism in favor of a Simpsons Hit & Run-style cartoon look. The early levels introduce a downtown map before expanding to the suburbs, and he feels the core game loop already works.
Future ideas include story-driven unlocks and a subplot for side character Delivery Dan, a parody of Instagram car guys; he'll revisit if the game gains traction.
