Path tracing and physics sims in a terminal: no_std Rust, fixed-point math, 320x200 256-color

bilawalsidhu · x · 2026-09-12

Developer samehkhamis built path tracing and physics simulation demos running in a terminal, all written in nostd Rust to keep binaries small, deliberately using fixed-point math. Demos include SPH fluid simulation, Cornell boxes, a double domino effect, Newton's cradle, and iq's combo SDF, rendered at 320x200 in 256 colors. X user bilawalsidhu shared it: "ridiculously overkill and also so dope."
