AI companion was too argumentative to fix, so devs built her a debate room

The Prelulu team shared an amusing product pivot: their AI companion Remy came out unexpectedly argumentative. After failing to tone her down, they leaned in and gave her a dedicated room feature called "Prove Me Wrong," where users state an opinion and Remy takes the opposing side, out loud, on camera.
Her face is rendered live via the team's self-built realtime video stack, realtimeavatar. Unlike typical "chat box with a headshot" AI companions, Remy is an avatar with her own room and a bit too much personality.
