DSPy 3.4.0b1 beta ships shared LM engine interface, faster execution and async ReActV2
dbreunig · x · 2026-09-12
Stanford's DSPy (38k stars) released 3.4.0b1, the first beta of 3.4. It moves LM execution to a shared engine interface (notably faster and lighter), adds a local CPython interpreter for trusted code, brings async execution to ReActV2, and adds custom Flex code proposals in GEPA, plus fixes for eval, streaming, and demonstration-sampling bugs. It's a prerelease with changing APIs; 3.4 is the LM transition release and 3.5 the migration deadline. Install via pip install "dspy==3.4.0b1".
