Responding to Clement Delangue's jab that Jacob's AI-extinction concern is like asking your AC guy about climate change, Elie Bakouch called the take weird and unnecessary. He notes many OpenAI and Anthropic employees — including leaders of alignment teams at both labs — agree with Jacob, while acknowledging an information asymmetry: frontier lab insiders have far more data on frontier model acceleration than outsiders.
