Nobody has beaten my GPT-6 Astra chess setup — public beta challenge open
MikePFrank · x · 2026-09-12
The author invites the public to challenge their GPT-6 Astra chess setup, which no one has beaten so far. The web app is in limited beta; comment or DM for the URL.
Setup details:
- Astra was allowed to build its own tactical engine in Python for positional evaluation and mating proofs
- No external resources allowed: no existing chess engines or databases — all chess knowledge comes from Astra itself
- The tactical engine runs single-threaded Python on a modest Lightsail instance, no heavy compute
