Sentry released an Agent Plugin that lets AI coding assistants set up Sentry, triage production errors, and fix them from a single prompt.
- Supported: Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Grok
- Install: npx @sentry/agent-plugin install detects your assistants, wires the plugin in, and auto-configures the Sentry MCP server — restart tools to load
- Capabilities:
- Stack detection and guided Sentry setup in any project
- Query production: "top errors in last 24 hours", issues affecting most users
- Fix errors in place; some tasks need GitHub CLI for PR comments
The release followed a user request for MCP support — Sentry confirmed MCP configuration ships with the plugin.
