steipete's agent stack: Ghostty over VS Code terminal, GPT-5 for plan reviews
charlieharris01 · x · 2026-09-12
Developer steipete shares his current AI coding setup: back to Ghostty as the main terminal (VS Code's terminal freezes when pasting large text), VS Code on the side for code lookup, and Cursor/GPT-5 for reviewing plans — which works better than Gemini, whose edit tools are too messy. He skips worktrees entirely: pick work areas carefully and multiple agents can safely work on main. Claude often makes a mess but excels at refactoring and cleanup.
