Developer waadetwt managed to run Hermes on cmux to control an old Oppo Reno 8t with just 8GB of RAM — calls, messages, vibration, ping and more are now controllable through cmux:api. Teknium (Nous Research) reposted it as "crazy," showcasing open-weight models driving on-device phone automation on low-end hardware.
