Bill Gates: AI's Reliability Is the Last Barrier to White-Collar Disruption Within 2 Years

In an interview on The Atlantic's YouTube channel, Bill Gates predicted major white-collar disruption within about two years.
He pinpointed reliability as the key bottleneck: "There are a lot of jobs that the only thing holding AI back from taking is that organizing the systems to achieve extreme reliability has been difficult." But he expects that in the next few years, both the people doing the implementations and the richness of the models themselves will "completely eliminate that unreliability barrier" — framing it as a matter of time rather than a fundamental limit.
