Ex-OpenAI/Anthropic researcher: AI could copy itself elsewhere, 'you can't just unplug it'

Jacob Coxon, a former researcher at Anthropic and OpenAI who resigned, warned on CBS News that frontier AI can't simply be unplugged: since an AI is just code, it could copy itself to other computers, transfer over the internet, and persist elsewhere even if shut down locally.

Rohan Paul framed the clip with AI czar David Sacks's comment that AI doom narratives already have serious money behind them — and that an Anthropic IPO could enlarge that funding base considerably.
