OpenAI's GPT-Live-1 tested: ServiceTitan demos hands-free voice agent for rooftop technicians
pbbakkum · x · 2026-09-12
Right after OpenAI launched GPT-Live-1, ServiceTitan put it to work in a demo aimed at field technicians: a tech standing on a roof manages tasks entirely by real-time voice—creating an equipment record for a Titan Air rooftop chiller, pausing cleanly when interrupted to report a coil leak, queuing both approvals, and even proactively asking if anything else on the unit needs noting. The author argues it shows why voice beats pausing work to type on a phone, especially for the trades.
