LangChain's Engine: an agent that engineers other agents using trace data
LangChain · x · 2026-09-12
Adam Lucek of LangSmith shared Engine, his 5-month project dubbed the "Agent for Agent Engineering"—an agent that automates agent development.
The approach uses trace data and project context so the agent can analyze existing agents' execution traces and iteratively improve them. LangChain amplified the thread; details in the original thread, with relevance to agent eval engineering and automated agent workflows.
