ACL caps authors at 20 submissions and 5 first-author papers per cycle

ACL has introduced per-author quotas: a maximum of 20 total submissions and 5 first-author (including shared first-author) papers per cycle, with details to follow on the ACL website.
Commenters note the cap still seems high, arguing a good researcher can meaningfully contribute to at most 10 papers contemporaneously. The move responds to surging submission volumes and paper inflation in NLP.
