MiniMax Design upgrade: agent workflows, AE and Blender MCP integrations

MiniMax announced a major upgrade to MiniMax Design, its local-first multimodal AI creative studio, adding the "GPT-6 Astra" model, new MCP integrations for Blender, Photoshop and After Effects, and collaborative projects.
The desktop app (macOS/Windows) organizes creation into a five-step agent workflow:
- Idea intake: describe what you want; the main agent breaks down the task and auto-matches models
- Canvas flow: script, storyboard, video, music and editing on one node graph
- Custom Skills & plugins: chat to build your own workflows or grab proven ones from the Plaza
- Local-first asset center: assets auto-save locally, agents access local files and export to pro tools in one click
Highlight capabilities: single-prompt 3D model generation and turning AI video clips directly into editable AE projects.
