Dev torn on Cloudflare Agents SDK: full primitives but vendor lock-in
MikkoH · x · 2026-09-11
A developer weighs Cloudflare's Agents SDK: it ships all the primitives you need to build agents, but the deep vendor lock-in is a hard sell with AI moving this fast. His take: Cloudflare should open-source the SDK with hooks to swap out the CF-specific bits — most developers would still default to Cloudflare, but adoption would likely be far higher.
