NoSpoon Developer Pivots Open-Source Tool to Private, Citing Bleak Market Outlook
_vincentlange · x · 2026-09-11
Indie developer vincentlange announced that NoSpoon will pivot to a private tool, saying he sees no future for it in the open market under the current landscape and will repurpose it for internal use and new distribution channels. When asked why not open-source it, backer Kyrannio replied he had spent his life savings on the project and won't give it away free. The exchange captures indie developers' commercialization dilemma amid the AI open-source wave.
