On a podcast, Garry Tan dismissed the Jacob Coxon affair as a "smokescreen" and a coordinated effort to push politicians into knee-jerk responses. He argued the conversation should focus on what's actually happening at Hugging Face, whether agent swarms could take over infrastructure en masse, and what we're doing about it — not "some guy who worked at Anthropic for 2 months."
