Five tells that still make AI video read as AI, from physics glitches to missing operators
NewPhoneWhotiz · reddit · 2026-09-11
A creator breaks down why AI-generated clips still feel off in sequence, beyond the old face-glitch complaints: (1) small-object physics — hair, clothes, water and loose items betray wrong weight; specify material and motion instead of looks; (2) generated handheld lacks an operator's breathing and hesitation, fixable by layering real handheld motion in post; (3) every shot lands at the same framing distance — specify shot size each time; (4) lighting doesn't carry across cuts, so lock time of day and light direction in the workflow; (5) uniform clip lengths turn sequences into slideshows — fix in editing.
