Ant's Afu health AI app hits 150M users, onboards 18 major hardware brands

At the 2026 Inclusion Conference, Ant Group's health AI app Afu announced it has reached 150 million users with nearly 20 million daily health consultations, making it the world's largest health AI app by user base. 55% of users are from tier-3 cities and below, and roughly 25% are seniors.
Afu has integrated hardware from 18 major brands including Huawei, Apple Health, Xiaomi, and Yuwell — body-fat scales, wearables, CGM glucose monitors, blood pressure monitors, and sleep devices — offering AI weight-loss coach, nutritionist, and personal trainer services. Its "Lose 100M Jin" campaign drew over 2.75 million participants; its AI body-fat scale sold over 3 million units in two months, lifting the category's sales 60%+ YoY in June and 100%+ in July on Tmall.
The piece argues hardware makers' chronic pain point of low engagement is being solved by AI that links devices, user data, and actionable advice, extending competition from single apps to an AI-plus-hardware ecosystem.
