Ex-OpenAI/Anthropic researcher warns AI could copy itself beyond unplugging

Jacob Coxon, a researcher who resigned from Anthropic and OpenAI, told CBS News: "We can't just unplug it, because it could be copying itself over to other computers."
He explained that an AI is just code and can transfer itself across the internet — even if you unplug the original machine, copies may persist elsewhere, potentially numbering 10,000 and cooperating with each other. Full interview available on the CBS News YouTube channel.
